Maintenance and maintenance of mud pump bearings of drilling rigs
F series drilling pumps use rolling bearings, which are precision
mechanical parts. In order to prolong the service life, the rolling bearings
must be carefully maintained. The main bearing is a spherical roller bearing.
The pinion shaft bearing is a cylindrical rolling bearing. Cylindrical roller
bearings are used at the eccentric, with ribs on both sides to keep the
connecting rod on the center line. Crosshead pin bearings are double row
cylindrical roller bearings. The bearing does not need special adjustment. The
fit of the outer ring and inner ring of all bearings with the hole or shaft is
very precise. The inner and outer rings of the bearing are installed in pairs,
corresponding to each other, and marked with a matching number. Therefore, when
the bearing is installed again, the inner and outer rings must be matched
correctly. It is often necessary to replace defective bearings. Even if only one
part fails, it must be replaced as a set (inner and outer ring, roller and
cage). The movement clearance of these bearings is very small. Defects such as
excessive clearance, raceway or wear on the seat ring, and pitting or peeling of
parts indicate that the bearing fails and must be replaced as soon as possible.
All rolling bearings and journals are fitted by hot fitting (refer to the data
of each assembly for bearing fitting). Damaged or worn bearings or races can be
knocked off the shaft with a copper rod and hammer, or gas cutting can be used.
Remove, but be very careful not to damage the shaft. Assembling bearings is
usually heated by oil bath, and the temperature is below 149°C (300°F). The oil
and the oil tank must be clean. If you use fire to heat directly from below the
oil tank, the outer ring of the bearing should be cushioned when it is placed in
the oil tank. The bearing oil bath should not exceed three minutes. Generally do
not use flame to heat the bearing, unless in special circumstances, when flame
must be used, it can only be operated by an experienced gas welder. The flame is
at least 150mm (6″) away from the bearing and can be tested with a thermometer.
Overheating. After the bearing is overheated, tempering will cause the bearing
to become soft. After the bearing is hot-mounted on the shaft, it should be
allowed to cool down naturally. Do not use water or other liquids to cool the
hot bearing. Fast cooling will cause the inside and outside of the bearing The
ring and roller are scrapped due to "hot cracking". Do not directly knock the
bearing with a steel hammer. If you must install the bearing in place, you can
tap it gently with a wooden hammer. Usually, lubricate the journal and install
it before installing the bearing. Hole, a good lubricant is white lead oil,
which is a kind of anti-adhesive oil. After the bearing is taken out of the
packaging box, prevent dust and foreign matter from entering the bearing. Clean
the packaging anti-rust grease before assembly. Cleaner should be used cleanly
